Short poem.

My concentration is shot lately, so I’ve just been writing shorter poems to see how they feel.  Maybe you will like this.  Maybe you won’t.

Collecting shards of rotten teeth
Spit into public restroom sinks
The hole in my mouth
Won’t even bother to bleed
Brown and broken down
By sugar and a sweet lack of taking care
Born from the mouth of
A lifelong love affair
With nervous annihilation
